This webinaris an introduction to the coaching neurodiversity, reflective practice and the ICF coaching competencies
PRIMARY LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
Explore:
- The concepts of neurodiversity and neurodivergence
- Socio-political-economic issues related to neurodivergence including recognition, diagnosis, treatment and workplace adjustments
- Where and how neurodivergence shows up in coaching
- The wisdom from the field as it relates to the ICF coaching competencies
- How the reflective practice of supervision can support neurodiversity and coaching
EXPECTED OUTCOMES:
- Create a plan for how the coach’s reflective practice can support neurodiversity and coaching.
- Define the difference between neurodiversity and neurodivergence.
- Understand What pathways or systems have brought neurodivergent clients to your coaching practice.
- Learn to align the ICF competencies where it relates to neurodivergence and coaching.
Speaker: Deborah Skukyn- Plageman, PCC is a dedicated ally and member of the neurodivergent community, bringing over 18 years of coaching experience as a credentialed coach (ICF-PCC) and mentor coach (ICF-PCC Assessor trained). As the co-founder and co-host of the podcast and professional development community “Neurodivergently Coaching,” she focuses on empowering individuals who face barriers to full participation in society
With a Master’s Degree and three years of Doctoral candidacy centered on coaching for marginalized communities, Deborah is also a certified ADHD Coach and coaching supervisor (EMCC-ESIA-EIA). Currently, she leads research on diversity, equity, and inclusion in coaching supervision in collaboration with a community employment organization founded by a neurodivergent member.
A program development professional, she supports clients with intersectional identities and is passionate about fostering inclusive coaching practices.
