In today’s rapidly changing and unpredictable environment, organizations are increasingly recognizing the importance of compassion. Research has highlighted the transformative effects of organizational compassion, prompting industries like healthcare, education, and technology to incorporate compassion into their culture, leadership, and management practices. However, our understanding of how to effectively integrate compassion into leadership coaching is still developing. In this webinar, the presenter will explore recent research and offer frameworks and strategies for incorporating a relational perspective of compassion into leadership coaching. By focusing on compassion, both the coach and the client (leaders) can cultivate compassionate awareness, connect with authentic emotions, and take meaningful actions that address organizational challenges and support employees during times of changes and uncertainties.
In this seminar, we will:
- Define compassion from a relational perspective;
- Explore the organizational settings where compassion is mostly valued;
- Distinguish between coaching with compassion (as a coach’s competence) and compassionate leadership (as an area of focus for the client)
- Show how coaches can help coachees develop compassionate awareness and take compassionate actions.
The expected outcomes from the learning objectives are to understand how to apply the information presented to support clients in:
- Leading employees with compassion during challenging situations (such as pains, sufferings, or changes)
- Cultivating compassionate awareness;
- Building strong relationships with employees by connecting with authentic emotions;
- Developing effective, compassionate actions.
